Dennis Gilbert – Philanthropy
Awarded the Major League Baseball B.A.T. Frank Slocum Award at the Winter meeting of the MLB in December 2022.
In 2016 Dennis Gilbert was recognized by Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Humanitarian of the Year Award for his decades of philanthropy with his wife and family. Dennis Gilbert to accept humanitarian award (mlb.com)
In addition to his work with the Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation, he also co-founded the “Reviving Baseball in the Inner-city” and personally financed the “Dennis Gilbert Field” which is the home ball park of RBI, at Southwest College.
He has been honored by dozens of groups for his work with them. Dennis is constantly involved with the charities and foundations that support professional baseball and their fans.
